Lois Foyt and Jon Foyt ~ graduates of Stanford University ~ have collaborated in writing eight published novels. Their first two novels, Last Train From Mendrisio and Postage Due, were published in the U.K., and their other books, Marathon My Marathon, Red Willow Brew, The Test of Time, The Landscape of Time, The Architecture of Time and The Portrait of Time found distinguished small literary publishing houses in the U. S. Now all their novels are E-Books, available at Smashwords for free sampling and purchase for all E-Book reading devices.

   D. H. Lawrence said that the novel is the highest form of art. In their critically acclaimed body of work the Foyts have always sought the summit of literary landscapes.

   They have also written a short story, Ocotillo Omen, which has been published in Italian and English in an Italian literary magazine. They have adapted Marathon My Marathon into a screenplay entitled “A Nuclear Tide” and written a second screenplay, “Painted Waters,” on which their novel
The Portrait of Time is based.

        Jon Foyt now makes his home in an active adult community near San Francisco and the Northern California wine country, following a twelve-year writing enterprise in Santa Fe hosting literary salons, sponsoring book and film festivals, presenting papers, giving readings and lecturing, together with research sojourns to: Switzerland; Turks & Caicos; Albania; Santa Barbara; Athens, Georgia; Marathon, Greece; Marathon, Texas; Manhattan; the Coast of Maine; Ireland; the French Quarter; La Jolla; Santa Monica; Pass Christian, Mississippi; and Upstate New York.

 

     Their extracurricular activities have included hiking, running and collecting fine art and antiques. Their Blog welcomes interaction at WriterlyGifts.

    Their career paths after Stanford include Jon’s active duty in Military Intelligence, electronics manufacturing, radio broadcasting, international banking, and real estate brokerage and development; and Lois’ in art and antique investments and appraisals. She headed Decorative Arts, an interior design company, after completing graduate studies at Portland State University. In 2007 she founded Fieldcrest Fine Arts, an antique and decorative arts consulting firm specializing in 19th century Asian, American and European bronzes.
